Funny how a handset has yet to be released yet the industry is already pegging it as the handset to take down. According to Korean paper DDaily‘s sources LG wasn’t satisfied with their offering of average handsets at MWC and is now preparing the 4.7″ D1L to take down the Samsung Galaxy SIII. The latest rumor is that the SIII will be appearing in May, and that is exactly when LG plans to unleash their super phone competitor running a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 offering a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Above you’ll see a blurry photo of a roadmap that outlines the D1L as their high premium handset, it will of course be running Android 4.0. If you’re wondering how true this rumor might be an anonymous LG employee has been cited confirming the company is in fact “developing a phone with a project name D1L,”.
