i have a buick straight 8 engine on an engine stand freshly rebuilt by my dad who just passed away. he worked for buick in the 50's and taught auto mechanics for 30 years so it's done right. he also has a 1950 super for sale. also has lots of buick dynaflow parts and misc around. let me know if any of this interests you. timjames880@comcast.net

i know a guy who i could get a 1950 Strait 8 248 Engine and Dynaflow tranny came out of a 1950 Special. The motor hasn't run since 1978 (that was the date of the plate of the vehicle) but the motor turns over by hand. Tranny seems fine but no way to test. Engine is complete, but the exhaust manifold is cracked. i'm located in michigan let me know if your interested asap or want to see pics
