My husband has now been declared disabled due to severe Diabetic Neuropathy along with Bilateral carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome and has not been able to work going on two years. We recently move to Tampa, Fl. and our financial status has met the very bottom of our lifes. I have been trying to find a job and have had no luck. When we moved to Tampa we were hoping that I would find a job and buy a home but now our dreams are close to impossible! I never thought we would have to struggle so hard in life and very close to being homeless. I am the sole provider for our family and feel that I've let my family down because I can't find employment. We live in a two bedroom apartment and we are so crowded! I have my 20 year old daughter living with us and is expecting her first baby by December 25. She was going to college and had to drop out because of her high risk pregnancy. Hopefully she'll be going back to school once the baby is born. I have a son 14 years of age and very smart in school. He's a great kid and breaks my heart that I can't provide for the things he wished he could have. He loves to skate board, listen to music, and now started attending a youth ministry and loves it! We are raising our grandson who is now 3 years of age and such a delight in our lifes. My grandson dream for his age is to go to disneyworld and ask everyday if we can go to disney. Sadly to say that we live 45 minutes away from orlando and yet we know we can't afford to take him. My Van is a 1999 Windstar and needs simple repairs like a new power steering pump, new breaks, and badly needs tires. I wish someone could help us out reparing our vehicle. My electric is about to be disconnected and I'm struggling to find the resources through our communities and have had no luck. Our bill is close to $450.00. There are so many people in the same situation and finding funds is close to impossible! Even though I know I will not be able to provide my family with any gifts this years, I give thanks to the lord that we still have our health and pray that my husband can someday have the surgery he needs so bad and recovers. I know that there is no cure for diabetic but I still have hope. My wish for Christmas is to have a beautiful Christmas tree with ornaments and lights to cheer my family. We've been cooking with rusty pots and pans and it would be nice to have pots and pans that are not rusted. Is there anyone out there who can help my family out with a beautiful tree? Any help? Thank you for taking the time to read about my family! God Bless!
