Dear Reader:
The purposes of this letter is to introduce The Josephine Foundation to business, governmental, and other community entities of our important mission.
We are a newly forming non-profit corporation and foundation based in Phoenix, Arizona. I, Johnny La.Plante, and my associate James P. Rutti are in the grassroots phase of starting public service programs to assist single mothers and their children by helping the mothers with their financial needs and providing children with computers to help them learn; along with families of incarcerated individuals by providing supportive assistance through donations, covering for example: food, clothing, financial burdens, legal issues, and teaching life skills during the time of their family members’ absence so that they will be better prepared to return to society and help support their families.
Our program is also to assist a felon or ex-felon integrate back into the community with life skills training, transitional housing, job search assistance, as well as food, clothing, financial burdens, or legal issues. In the future, we would also like to open a safe-house program for victims of domestic violence/abuse to help curtail the problem of assaults in the household, and provide a safe environment for these persons to start a new to a better lifestyle.
We, as a non-profit organization, are seeking support in the form of grants, funding, consulting assistance, services, products, volunteer personnel time, and equipment. We urgently need office and building space, computers, office equipment, supplies, and office fixtures or furniture. Any donation or contribution you could proffer will be deeply appreciated.
