All powertrains drive through eight-speed transmissions.

As with all luxury sedans in China, the interior is what matters as most owners here never set foot in the driver's seat, preferring to be chauffeured around while they sip on champagne and entertain guests in the back. With that in mind, the XJ Ultimate really delivers. Two individually tailored rear seats are trimmed in semi-aniline premium natural leather and come with power adjustment and recline, lumbar support, massage function and climate controls. At the touch of a button a rear business table powers into place, machined from solid aluminum with piano black trim. Underneath which can be found a pair of bespoke champagne flutes.

A champagne chiller conveniently resides between the rear seats, cooling the bottle to the perfect temperature and presenting it whenever the cabinet is opened. An iPad and keyboard are housed in the rear of the front seats, while a rear-seat entertainment package comes with twin headrest-mounted screens and wireless headphones.Spectacular sound is provided by a 15-channel, 20-speaker surround sound system engineered specifically for the XJ by Meridian. Interior finishes include Herringbone veneer, bespoke LED lighting and machined aluminum.

The first 20 models will be finished in Celestial Black but the car can be color-matched to any shade of the customer's choosing. There's no official word on pricing but sources suggest a price tag north of $175,000.

Audi R8 E-tron Spied Up Close

Audi engineers are busy preparing the R8 e-tron for a test fleet of around 1000 units that are due to be evaluated by the end of this year. Fortunately our spies were on hand to catch a prototype while it was out testing and it seems very clear that Audi are doing little to disguise this pre-production model.

The R8 model caught here has e-tron plastered all over making identification very easy. It is also missing its tailpipes and the air intake manifolds are covered from the inside.

If the specifications of the original concept are kept in tact, under the sheet metal lies an electric powertrain that consists of a 53 KWh lithium-ion battery that powers four electric motors. Output is rated at 230 kW (308 hp / 313 PS) and a quite astounding 4,500 Nm (3,319 lb-ft) of torque, which enables the electric sports car to accelerate from 0-100 kph (0-62mph) in 4.8 seconds.

When the Audi R8 e-tron hits the market, we expect a price in the region of €100,000.

A foul-mouthed passenger managed to catch New Jersey state troopers escorting a series of supercars at speeds of up to 100 mph on the Garden State Parkway. The video is now prompting an investigation, with two officers suspende without pay and the station commander already reassigned.

It appears the event, which occurred on March 30 was organized by New York Giants star Brandon Jacobs. He doesn’t appear in the video below, but Jacobs’ agent confirmed to USA Today that he was a part of the event.

What makes the offense notable is that police officers apparently participated in and condoned speed violations on a crowded road.

This is the most powerful C-Class model the German brand has ever built, and it even eclipses the Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Coupe which runs in the DTM series, as it only puts out 500hp from its V8. The Black Series Safety Car has been fitted with a modified AMG sports exhaust system. A special rear silencer is said to guarantee a distinctive AMG V8 sound. The Safety Car can sprint from 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and reach an electronically-limited top speed of 186mph.

AMS Autowerks Porsche 993 GT2 on HRE Wheels

To start with what HRE added, the wheels are C20′s, part of HRE’s Competition Series range. These rims use titanium fastenings with 6061-T6 Forged Aluminum construction. They are of course perfectly fitted to the 993 Porsche 911 measuring in at 18 inches.

As for the work carried out on the car, Canibeat’s article suggests that the work was carried out on a 911 GT2 chassis, however, considering GT2′s regularly trade hands for 250,000 euros plus, we doubt that. Coupled with the fact that the 993 GT2 never had a sunroof, we can say that this is a re-bodied Porsche 993, and an awesome one at that.

It has an authentic GT2 wide body kit, a carbon fiber rear spoiler and the GT2′s front lip. In terms of mechanics, AMS Autowerks chose to install GT2 cams, a modified GT2 exhaust manifold, K24/18G Billet turbos, a custom dual 38mm wastegate, custom GMG style exhaust, a carbon fiber Gruppe M intake, side-mount oil coolers and a Powerhaus custom built and geared six-speed gt2 transmission.

To finish off with the suspension, the car features Ruff/Andial spec coilovers, H&R sway bars and a Bremb brake kit. Let us know what you think in the comments box below!

Ferrari Enzo Abandoned In Dubai Will Be Auctioned

Remember the pictures of a dust covered Ferrari Enzo, abandoned in a Dubai parking lot? The Enzo sat there for more than 20 months after the British owner left the emirate, fleeing from debt. It will be auctioned as part of a 129 car sale tomorrow (Wednesday) starting at 9am. The sale will happen near the Dubai International Airport in Al Quasis.

The British owner fled Dubai, presumably after a business deal or property venture went bad. In Dubai, debt is a criminal offence. The owner of the car probably fled to avoid being caught by the Dubai Police Force and having to serve a lengthy prison sentence. By escaping the country, back to the United Kingdom, he ensured the British government would not extradite him to the emirate. To authorities suggest that the car has a number of outstanding traffic fines which gave the authorities the right to seize the Ferrari.

He left the hypercar in a parking lot close to the airport. The Ferrari Enzo later became wanted by Interpol and was seized by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Dubai Police Force. 20 months after the cars was abandoned, we see it is up for auction. The Ferrari could fetch as much as 5.6 million dirham (500,000 euros).

The emirates laws allow the authorities to seize a vehicle that has been abandoned for more than six months. To participate in the auction, a 50,000 dihram deposit has to be made, to simply watch will cost you 110 dihram.

At the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, Toyota unveiled a concept with a very difficult name – ‘Yundong Shuangqing.’ The China-only concept is equipped with a hybrid system developed primarily at the Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing and R&D Center in Changshu, China.

So what’s with the name? Toyota says that the ‘Yundong’ name suggests ‘movement upon clouds’ and is Toyota’s corporate slogan in China. ‘Shuangqing’ suggests “dual support” and signifies the two power sources of the petrol-electric hybrid system.

“We would like to put smiles on the faces of our Chinese customers with hybrid technology,” said Toyota President Akio Toyoda. “I want the people of China to be able to experience the beauty of hybrid technology through a hybrid car born in China.”

Motorola XT560 Makes An Entrance: Android On budget

Looking for a tiny Android smartphone to suit your needs? Meet the Motorola XT560, a lower handset running Google’s mobile OS that seems to borrow from the design of the Motorola Photon 4G model on Sprint. This device should hit Europe and the rest of the world soon.

Moto XT560 was confirmed by the FCC last week and the image here was sent to androidgreed by a tipster. The source couldn’t say where he got the image, so there’s no way to tell if this is a genuine shot or not. It may end up being an entirely different phone, still a smaller one with lower end specs. The Motorola XT560 comes with a HVGA display with unknown diagonal size, HSDPA 850/1900 MHz, WiFi and Bluetooth. At the back there’s a 3 megapixel camera at the back, also a front facing camera present here, a microSD card slot and the brain of the new Moto newcomer is a 800 MHz CPU.

The processor is made by Qualcomm and it helps run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, probably with some minor customizations. I can’t help but think that this handset is somewhat a rival for an Xperia Mini unit, so maybe it also has some customization that fits Android 2.3 to the smaller screen like the 4 screen corner icons on the Xperia Minis…
